Announcements
Announcements let a practice manager post a short notice to everyone (or a specific group) in the agency — an office closure, a policy reminder, a "heads-up for this week." They're separate from the bell notifications: an announcement is written once and shown to the people you choose, until they acknowledge it.
You may also occasionally see a product announcement from the FCR team (for example, "what's new in this update"). Those work the same way from your side — you read them and dismiss them — and the details live under What's new.
What you'll see
An announcement reaches you in one of two styles, chosen by whoever posted it:
- A pop-up appears the next time you sign in. Read it and click Got it — it won't show again.
- A banner sits as a slim strip just under the top bar. It stays out of your way; click the × to dismiss it.
Either way, once you've acknowledged it, it's gone for you. Other people still see it until they acknowledge it themselves — acknowledging is per-person.
You only ever see announcements meant for your agency and your role. An announcement aimed at "Supervisors, PMs & Admins," for example, never reaches front-line staff members.
Posting an announcement (practice managers)
Go to Settings → Announcements. Fill in:
- Title and Message — keep it short and plain.
- Audience — who should see it:
- All staff — everyone in your agency.
- Supervisors, PMs & Admins — your oversight team only.
- PMs & Admins only — leadership only.
- Style — Modal (a pop-up on next login, good for something people must notice once) or Banner (a quiet strip, good for an ongoing reminder).
- Expires (optional) — pick a date and it stops showing after then. Leave it blank to keep it up until you remove it.
Click Post to your agency. It appears for the right people the next time they load a page.
Managing what you've posted
The Announcements page lists everything your agency currently has posted, with its audience and style. To take one down, click Remove and confirm — it stops showing to everyone right away.
Anything you post goes to your own agency's staff only — never to another agency. Your list shows only your agency's announcements.
