Your agency's logo & colors
Every PDF FCR produces — progress notes, treatment plans, monthly reports, assessments, billing reports — carries your agency's identity at the top. Set it once in Settings → Branding and it applies everywhere, for everyone.
What you can set
Your logo. PNG, JPEG, or SVG, up to 5 MB. Use the cleanest version you have; it's printed at the top of documents that go to families, DCS, and courts.
An accent color. A hex value like #1A2B3C. It tints the line under the
header band on every PDF. If you don't set one, FCR uses its default navy.
The page shows a How it appears on PDFs preview, so you can check the result before anyone downloads a document.
This surprises people, so it's worth saying plainly. When there's no logo, the header prints your agency name (and legal name, if it differs) as text. When you upload a logo, the logo takes that spot on its own — because a logo normally already contains the name, and printing both looks like a mistake.
So: if your logo is just a symbol with no wording, consider a version that includes your agency name, or leave the logo off so the text name shows instead.
Who can change it
Practice managers only.
Admins can see the branding settings and every PDF they generate comes out with the logo on it — they just can't change the logo or the color. This is deliberate: branding is how your agency presents itself to DCS and to courts, so the change sits with the practice manager.
Removing a logo
Use Remove on the branding page. Confirm, and PDFs go back to printing your agency name as text in the header. Nothing already downloaded changes — PDFs are generated fresh each time, so the next download reflects the new setting.
Tips for a good result
- Wider than tall works best. The header gives the logo a horizontal strip. A very tall logo gets scaled down to fit and ends up small.
- Give it a transparent or white background. The header band is white.
- SVG stays sharp at any size — if you have one, prefer it.
- Check the preview after uploading, not after a caseworker sends something to DCS.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to set this up before we start using FCR? No. Without a logo your agency name prints as text, which is perfectly presentable. Add the logo whenever you're ready.
Will old documents get the new logo? Yes — PDFs are generated when you download them, not stored. Re-download an older document and it comes out with your current branding.
Can each program or office have its own logo? No. Branding is per agency, and every PDF the agency produces uses it.
My upload was rejected. Check the format (PNG, JPEG, SVG only) and the size (5 MB max). FCR also inspects the file itself, so an image saved with the wrong extension is refused.
Can I use our brand color for the whole app, not just PDFs? Not today — the accent color applies to PDF output. The app's own look stays consistent for everyone.
